Mr Swing's Christmas Balls

Each year Mr Swing runs two Christmas Balls in Temple Hall on the York St. John University campus. A professional company transforms the venue into an amazing sight of giant icicles, snowflakes and ever-changing Christmas presents - the lighting is spell-binding and it even snows outside the foyer as guests arrive!
 
This year’s Mr Swing's Christmas Balls will be held on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th December 2012 and the evenings run from 7:30pm - 12:30am.

These wonderful evenings are attended by work's groups, family groups, groups of friends - in fact anyone who fancies a classy evening out - and have often been described as 'York's best kept Christmas secret'.

It's five hours of cool live music from 13-piece swing band Mr Swing's Dance Orchestra, classic disco tunes covering five decades, scrummy food, mind-boggling close-up magic from professional magician Alan MacIntyre, a cheap bar, audience participation and we even find time to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis! So much more than your average festive night out!

These events raise well over £1000 each year for Multiple Sclerosis in York and have raised in excess of £10,000 in total over the years.

Tickets are available from late July and usually sell out within a few weeks so you need to get in quick.

There are 180 tickets available each night in tables of 8, 12 or 16. Bring a table of friends or make it your work's Christmas party.

Friday tickets are £30.00 each or £27.50 if you buy 8 or more; Saturday’s are £30.00.

JANUARY 2012 UPDATE........

2010 was another successful year for the Christmas Balls!

£1377 was raised in total over the two nights for the York branch of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The money paid the rent on the MS café in Haxby for the first six months of 2011.
