Each year Mr Swing runs a Christmas party in York. A professional company transforms the venue into an amazing sight of giant icicles, snowflakes and ever-changing Christmas presents – the lighting is spell-binding and it even snows outside the foyer as guests arrive!
Mr Swing’s Christmas Ball will be held at Manor Church of England Academy on Millfield Lane, YO26 6PA on Saturday 14th December 2019 and the evening will run from 7:30pm – 12:30am.
These Christmas party nights in York are attended by work’s groups, family groups, groups of friends – in fact anyone who fancies a classy evening out – and have often been described as ‘York’s best kept Christmas secret’.
It’s five hours of cool live music from 13-piece swing band Mr Swing’s Dance Orchestra, classic disco tunes covering five decades, scrummy food, a cheap bar, audience participation and we even find time to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis with a game of ‘stand-up’ bingo! So much more than your average festive night out!
These Christmas party nights raise well over £1000 each year for Multiple Sclerosis in York and have raised well in excess of £20,000 in total over the years.
